The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Wilfred Afolabi, on Tuesday disclosed that 32 persons have been arrested in connection with the community clash at Iwaro-Oka, Akoko South Local Government Area of the State.
Two persons reported lost their lives in the clash that occurred Sunday night.
The areas affected are Owaki, Ebo and Oka-Odo, mostly affected by the clash, where some buildings were razed and properties destroyed.
Besides, properties worth millions of ₦aira, including an event hall and many residential buildings were lost in the communities already been deserted.
CP Afolabi who led other top officials of the State Police Command to the affected communities, commended the Command’s operatives for their swift intervention in the affected areas.
He said that those arrested would be made to face the full weight of the law.
