Suleja Tanker Explosion Update: Over 50 Persons Died Scooping Petrol – FRSC

 

The Niger State Sector Commander of ths Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kumar Tsukwam, has confirmed that over 50 persons lost their lives in the tragic petrol tanker explosion on Saturday.

Properties worth hundreds of millions of ₦aira were also lost to the inferno.

The incident occurred on Saturday, along Dikko-Maje Road, opposite Badeggi Filling Station, Suleja Local Government Area of the State.

Tsukwam who disclosed this whole giving update of the tanker explosion that occurred earlier, said the  petrol-laden tanker fell at the scene of the incidence with people scooping the spilling fuel.

He said both those scooping fuel were engulfed by the flames, just as those who went to rescue them were also affected.

He, however, assured that personnel of the corps and other sister agencies were on ground for the rescue mission.

Tsukwam confirmed that his men were on the scene, working tirelessly to rescue those trapped.
