Tinubu’s policies’ll Destroy Nigeria, Bauchi Gov Bala Mohammed Cries Out

The Bauchi State Governor, Alhaji Governor Bala Mohammed, has called President Bola Tinubu out over his policies, which he said could harm the country’s progress.
Daily Sun reports

Mohammed who spoke on Wednesday at a meeting with the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, at the Government House in Bauchi, described some of the President’s advisers as incompetent and that the administration lacked a clear vision for the country.

According to the Daily Sun, the Governor who underlined his respect for President Tinubu as a leader, explained that he initially had high hopes for Tinubu’s leadership based on his achievements as Lagos State Governor.

He, however, noted that his criticisms were not personal, reason why he felt it was necessary to point out areas of concern in the administration.

According to him, the policies being implemented by the Tinubu’s administration seemed to divide the nation rather than unite it.

He stressed the importance of treating Nigerians as citizens with rights and dignity, rather than as customers.

The Governor who acknowledged the need for reforms, however criticized Tinubu’s approach to reforms, particularly in the area of taxation, noting that reforms should be designed to benefit all Nigerians and not appear rushed or poorly planned.

He said he spoke out of a sense of responsibility as a leader who wants the best for Nigeria and urged the president and his team to adopt a more strategic and inclusive approach to governance.

“Someone must rise to the occasion to tell him the truth. Tinubu entered governance ill-prepared, without an agenda, without a manifesto. We believed so much in him because of his pedigree and antecedent as a Lagos governor who was able to work magic.

“Tinubu’s policies don’t have a clear vision and are taking us down the road to perdition and destruction. That is why when I talked about the tax reforms, it is not because I don’t want reform, but I want reform that will have a national impact on us. I don’t have anything against the president but respect,” he said.

He, therefore, called on the Tinubu-led federal government to prioritize unity and inclusivity and to consider the diverse needs of the nation, warning that the current approach could lead to negative consequences and hamper national progress.
